About Tradepoint Atlantic

After 125 years as a major producer and symbol of American industrial might, Sparrows Point, once the world’s largest iron and steel making facility ceased operations in June 2012. In 2014, under new ownership led by Redwood Capital Investments and what is now known today as Tradepoint Atlantic, a fresh vision for the 3,300 acre industrial site was envisioned and made reality.

Today at Tradepoint Atlantic we are embarking on a new era ushering in a modern industrial revival that has transformed a former steel mill into one of the largest most strategically significant intermodal global logistics hubs in the country. Visit www.tradepointatlantic.com for more information.

Our Commitment

Building a new container terminal and expanding a state’s ability to ship cargo around the world takes a lot of work and a total commitment to partnering with the surrounding communities. As part of that commitment, this website will continuously provide status updates to the local community on the Sparrows Point Container Terminal project.

A number of different requirements will have to be met and approved over the next year, we will keep you up to date as things move forward.
